Zona Gay Biorn Larsen

Zona Gay Biorn Larsen, 64, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Hyde Park Sunday, December 7, 2003. She was born March 3, 1939 in Manila, Utah to Lawrence & Thelma Edginton Biorn. After graduating as the Valedictorian from high school, she attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She married Michael N. Larsen November 14, 1958. They were later divorced. She worked for Liberty Financial for 12 years and retired from Zions Bank as a loan officer after 17 years of dedicated employment. She was a proud member of the Credit Professionals International and served in the local associations office as District Nine President and International Corresponding Secretary. Zona enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafts. Her beautiful handiwork is treasured by many. But, her greatest love and delight was her daughters and grandchildren. She was completely devoted to them and they all loved her dearly. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many capacities through the years including: Sunday School teacher, Young Women president and Relief Society teacher. She is survived by her daughters: Robin Jim Belliston, Hyde Park; Rhea Alton Mims, Lindale, Texas; Rebecca Darin Uhrich, Casa Grande, Arizona; Rhonda Eric Bush, Anchorage, Alaska; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers: Larry Biorn, Ely, Nevada; Gerald Biorn, Peoria, Arizona; and two sisters: WaNeta Lamb, Vernal; Ida Marie Twitchell, Manila. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Hyde Park Stake Center, 535 East 200 South. Friends and family may call at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
