October 19, 1914 — April 16, 2005

Tremonton - Zelma Esther Miller Fishburn, 90, left this world to be reunited with her husband, parents, sisters and brothers on April 16, 2005. Zelma was born on October 19, 1914 in Canton, Illinois the daughter of John Adam and Laura Crowthers Miller, sister to Verna, Roy, Russell, Harriet, Viola and Hazel. Zelma Came to Utah in 1940. She met Aquilla Dick Fishburn and they were married on October 19, 1940. Dick died on October 19, 1973. Zelma and Dick owned and operated their own photography studio, taking outstanding pictures for many years. Zelma loved to keep track of names and dates, and she was very good at it. She combined her love of photography and history and produced hundreds of genealogy pictures as well as many photographs depicting Tremonton's history. Zelma was well known for her love of animals. She was a familiar face at the Box Elder County Fair, having worked there for the past 32 years. Zelma loved people as much as she did animals. She could often be seen driving her three-wheeled bicycle all over Tremonton, visiting friends and keeping up on the news. Zelma was a member of the Tremonton 5th Ward. She was at the Bear River Care Center a month preceding her death. Zelma is survived by her nieces Betty W. Peterson, of Tremonton; Irene Sale, Rosemarie Bowton, and John Voorhees, all of Canton, Illinois; a great niece Constance John Ward, great nephews - Ron Leslie Woerner, Steve Lori Woerner, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews in Utah and Illinois. The family wishes to express their gratitude to home health care providers - Sarah, Kelly, Camille, and Mavis; Hospice Nurse - Carol Cahoon; and all the staff at the Bear River Valley Care Center for their loving care and a special thanks to Ruth Martinez for the help and compassionate service she provided Aunt Zelma. Zelma was known and loved by many. We will miss her. She was truly a special woman. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Tremonton LDS 5th Ward, with Bishop Wallace Larsen officiating.
Burial was in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
