Tremonton, UT – It is with deepest sorrow that we mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Zeb Jensen McDougal, 27. He passed away suddenly December 24, 2008 with his sweetheart at his side. Zeb was born August 16, 1981 in Brigham City, UT to Daniel Kern and Enola Jensen McDougal. He was met on the other side by his father whom he missed deeply. He grew up in Corinne and Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School in 2000. He was called to the Des Moines, Iowa LDS mission. Upon returning, he married his high school sweetheart, Joni Rae Hidalgo March 9, 2002 in the Bountiful Utah Temple. To this eternal union, they were blessed with two beautiful children, Jozelan, 2, and Daxten Zeb, 10 months. His children and his "sweetheart" are the pride and joy of his life. Zeb was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a primary teacher which he enjoyed very much. Zeb was fond of off-road biking, his gun collection that he inherited from his father, camping, singing with his little girl, and wrestling with his little boy. He enjoyed just about anything as long as he was with his family. He was working on his internship to become a licensed appraiser. Those who will miss him as he leaves for a short time are: his wife, Joni McDougal, and their children: Jozelan and Daxten; his mother, Enola and her husband, Byron Sayer; his sisters: Shelly King and Candee Weston Flamm; his brothers: Daniel Patti, Jason Jennifer, Aaron Rachelle and Jay Sasha McDougal; his in-laws, Dean and Lori Hidalgo; his brothers and sisters-in law: Brandi Todd Atkinson, Tiffanie Shawn Hadley, Wendi Chris Rees, Jami Tom Hobbs, Kristi Woody Barnett, Kandi Jon Burden, Jason Marci Hidalgo, and Julian, Jesse, TyiAnn, and Danielle Hidalgo; grandmothers: Fay McDougal and Loretta Jensen; and also, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel McDougal and grandfathers: Gilbert McDougal and Jesse Jensen. The moment that you left me, my heart split in two; One side was filled with memories; the other side died with you. I often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep; And take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek. Remembering you is easy. I do it everyday; But missing you is a heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart, and there you will remain; You see, life has gone on without you, but we'll never be the same. Goodbye for now my sweetheart – Families Are Forever. Love you always and forever. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton. Family and friends may call Monday, December 29, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at Garland Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the Zeb McDougal Memorial Fund for the benefit of Jozelan and Daxten McDougal at any Wells Fargo Bank.
