Willina Joyce Bowden passed away Wed. Dec. 10, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born May 22, 1933 in Brigham City, Utah to William Chauncey and Minnie Alice Long Bowden.
Willina spent her youth in Utah and Montana, before moving with her family to Tophill, Oregon where she attended grade school at Schofield and graduated from Banks High School. She married Russell Snook, July 1, 1950, and was blessed with 3 children.
She lived a life of compassion and service serving two full time missions and 3 stake missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Russell Ralph Pam Snook, of Hillsboro, Oregon, Marilyn Charlie Mecham of Hooper, Utah and Stanley Richard Pat Snook of Elko, Nevada. She found great joy with her 13 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Leslie George and William Duane Bowden. She is survived by two brothers, Chauncey Farrell Marjorie Bowden, Lee Donna Carlson, two sisters, Rita Ray Anderson and Ida Vern Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South, Brigham City, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family online at
