William Charles Bowers, 59, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday, April 17, 2006. He was born November 17, 1946 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Robert and Hazel Forrester Bowers. They moved to Logan when Bill was six months old, where he spent his growing years. He married Nancy Johnson of Hyde Park on October 16, 1967. They were blessed with five children. Bill is well known in the valley for his excellent abilities in laying flooring and was a co-owner of Carousel Carpets from 1991 to 2004. Bill had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed four-wheeling and snow- mobiling. He collected guns and loved teasing his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the afternoon breaks spent at Eddie?s in Smithfield. He was a member of the ?Sunday Morning Bill Carson Coffee Club.? He had an uncanny ability to befriend people of all ages and treasured each and every friendship. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Shane, Logan; Michelle Troy Anderson, Wellsville; Cory Krisite, River Heights; Lisa Mike Buttars, Hyde Park; Ryan , Portland, Oregon; and 10 grandchildren who he adored. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Bowers and a sister, Mary Jean Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Logan 23rd Ward Chapel, 565 East 100 South, Logan. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Friday morning at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services.
