William Bill Beutler

May 5, 1925 — November 5, 2012

William Bill Beutler, 88, passed away at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logan, UT on Nov. 5, 2012. He was born to George L. and Venna Beutler, May 5, 1925, in Smithfield, UT. He attended the Cache County Schools. He was employed by Smithfield City from 1945 until his retirement in 1989. He called the Smithfield Cemetery "The marble Orchard" and was proud to keep it beautiful. In the summers after the sun went down he would go to the cemetery to water in order to keep everything green and growing. He received many awards for his community services and work ethics. One of those awards being the Smithfield outstanding citizen of the year award in May 2000 by the Lion Club. He loved to attend USU's football and basketball games for many years. He was a member of the Smithfield LDS 3rd, 7th and 11th wards. He was always willing to work on ward projects when he was needed. He is survived by his brother Leon and sister in law Jeanne Beutler
and their children Brad Susan and Paul Tammy Beutler, also several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home 85 South Main Street - Smithfield. Graveside services will be at 11 :00 a.m. Thursday at the Smithfield City Cemetery on Nov. 8, 2012 Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com
