Logan ? Wesley Ova Jensen passed away peacefully on the morning of September 23, 2002, at the Logan Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 12, 1915 in Hyde Park, Utah to Fred and Mary Jensen. He was the fifth of eight children. He was raised in Hyde Park and attended schools in Cache County. He married his sweetheart Moziene Hurst on September 26, 1940 in the Logan LDS Temple for time and all eternity. What a joy it will be to know that Mom and Dad will be celebrating their anniversary together again. They lived in Hyde Park for 13 years, then moved to Logan where they have resided ever since. Together they had five wonderful sons and 60 years of marriage. Their sons are Tharol Annette Jensen, Salt Lake City; DeRoy Lynda Jensen, Cambira, California; Tony Joyce Jensen, Ogden; Jerry Marsha Jensen, Hyrum; and Lonny Peggy Jensen, Smithfield. Moziene preceded him in death on December 7, 2000. He enjoyed working on cars at a young age, which later developed into a career as a mechanic. He worked for Baugh Motor, then went to Wilson Motor for 36 years until his retirement and later worked at USU Motor Pool. He always enjoyed being with his family and they spent many enjoyable trips camping, hunting and fishing. He loved working with wood and made many of his ?Famous Ducks and Road Runners? that the wind would spin. He also could carve a wooden chain from a solid piece of wood which always amazed everyone. He is survived by his five sons, 20 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. A brother, Ephriam Jensen of Ogden and a sister Nona Myers also of Ogden. He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers: Fred Jensen, Floyd Jensen, Orlo Jensen and two sisters: Eva Gessel and Delma Kimball. Funeral services will be under the direction of Bishop Grant Carling. Services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Logan 3rd Ward Chapel, 250 North 400 West at 12:00 noon. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening, September 25th between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan or Thursday morning between 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the 3rd Ward Church.
