Riverside - Welton Paul Ward, 47, known to friends as "Willie", passed away at home with his loving wife comforting him, Wednesday, March 3, 2004 due to cancers that ravaged his body. Willie was born on August 3, 1956 to Paul Smith and Beverly Chamberlain Ward in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and Peggy Kuykendall were together for 22 years and married on August 3, 1989. The renewed their vows on December 27, 2003. He loved and took care of Peggy's children as if they were his own and in his mind, they were. He and Peggy also took care of four of their grandchildren, Hallie, Austin, Dallas and Dillon. Not only were they the light of his life, but he loved them to the depths of his soul.Willie graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. He drove trucks for the last 27 years. He had driven for Montana Brand Produce and later for Stokes Trucking Company until was forced to quit due to his fast advancing disease.He is survived by his loving wife: MargaretAnn Peggy Ward, Riverside, Utah; children: Heather Hebdon, Riverside, Utah, Keylan Hebdon, Salt Lake City, Utah and Hymie Delgodo, Philadephia, PA; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Kathryn Ward, New Jersey and Christina Morr, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parentsFuneral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belmont LDS Church located at 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday, March 13, 2004 from 9-11 a.m.Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery.Condolences may be expressed at www.rogersandtaylor.com .
