Tremonton, UT ? Wayne Leslie Morse, Jr., 63, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at his home. Wayne was a good man with a remarkable mind. He came from a modest background, he was a self-made man. A voracious reader, his mind was a steel trap, full of vital information on many subjects gleaned from earnest study, critical observation and assessment.
Wayne was his most unforgiving critic as he analyzed successes or failures in his personal or business ventures.
Deeply faithful to his family, church and country, Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, teacher, mentor, active High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and very patriotic to his country serving in the US Air Force. His strong opinions were based on his profound dedication to the principles governing each of those commitments.
He loved gardening and especially his flowers. Wayne was a graduate of the University of Utah where he played football and majored in Economics. He was very successful as a developer and contractor. Wayne was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
Wayne?s cherished wife, Dianne, was the most important person in his life. He often spoke of his fervent love, gratitude and admiration for his beautiful eternal companion. Dianne fulfilled her roles as wife, partner and caregiver with loving dedication. In almost constant pain for over 30 years due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Wayne exhibited remarkable character. He always minimized the difficulties it presented, and steadfastly refused to allow illness to define him. We will deeply miss and fondly remember this most unforgettable character.
Wayne Morse was born in Salt Lake City November 28, 1942; the second child of Wayne L. and Mary Jones Morse. He married Dianne L. Dopp November 28, 1975 in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 29, 1976. He is survived by his wife, Dianne, daughters: Colette Marshall Jackson, Jessica Morse, Deborah Ron Wilcox- Vincent, Carrie Wallentine and Heather Stoneberg and nine grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Bernita Hoover and a brother John. Among the survivors are his best friends, grandson and granddaughter, Matthew and Aubriel.
