Wayne Guymon, 87, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Logan, Utah. Wayne was born in Fremont, Utah on April 27, 1920 to Myron and Flossie Guymon Wayne grew up in Wayne County graduating from Wayne High School before enrolling in Utah State Agriculture College. Wayne was a Master Technical Sergeant with the First Marine Air Division serving during World War II in the South Pacific, most notably on Guadalcanal. He married LaRue White in Lyman on January 15, 1944. Wayne worked for Chevron USA for over forty-two years becoming a nationally known expert on administrative management. He was also an adjunct professor of business at California State College at Long Beach. Wayne was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous callings including High Priest Group Leader in the Fullerton California Ward. Wayne and LaRue were ordinance workers in the Los Angeles Temple for six and one-half years. During their retirement years they enjoyed traveling in their house trailer throughout the United States and Canada. LaRue, his wife of sixty-three years, passed away on October 18, 2007. Wayne is survived by his five children: Stephan Karen Guymon of Providence, Susan Kenneth Boyd of Kerman, California; Karen Tom Peterson of West Hills, California; Myron Melinda Guymon of Logan; and Myrna Raddatz of Sandy, Utah. He has twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2007 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Gardens chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services with military honors will be held immediately afterward.
