Joyful Reunion ? Wayne Charles Dalton rejoined his eternal companion on Sunday, January 29, 2006. Wayne was born March 16, 1920 in Riverdale, Utah, to William Charles and Martha Eliza Bingham Dalton.
He met Pansy Sheffer in 1944 at a dance and five weeks later they were married. In 1946 their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple. January 31st would have been their 61st anniversary.
Wayne was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the North Central States. He served in various capacities at both the Ward and Stake level. He was a sealer in the Logan Temple for 15 years. He and Pansy served a mission in the St. Louis Missouri Mission. His greatest calling was to be a father to Linda Davis Bill Coquille, OR; LaRae Terry Richard Lehi, UT; Kaylin Matthews Victor Logan, UT; Merla Womack Keith Wellsville, UT; and Wayne Chad Dalton Wendy Logan, UT. He has one surviving brother, Max H. Dalton Beverly South Ogden, UT. He has 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
Wayne?s love was farming. He farmed in West Point until health no longer permitted. At that time, he went to work for Mountain Fuel Supply Co. and retired with over 30 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother Darrell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 West Factory, Garland at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Tabernacle. Interment at the West Point Cemetery. The family wishes to express deepest appreciation to the Williamsburg Retirement Center Kimmett and Staff and to Access Hospice for their help and love.
