Warren Robert Smith

January 17, 1945 — February 19, 2007

Warren Robert Smith, 62, precious husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007 at his home in Smithfield. He was a loving person and loved his children and grandchildren very much. Warren loved animals and loved to ride his horses. He worked at Logan City for 21 ½ years until poor health caused him to take an early retirement. Warren always talked kindly of others. Warren graduated from North Cache High and played football and basketball for four years. He loved to go deer hunting with Dave Johnson, Mike Blake and Lee Wildman. Warren and Francis were married for thirty-five years. In 1999 they were sealed in the Logan Temple. He is survived by his wife, Francis; children: Phil & Melanie Reid, Logan; Paul and Kathleen Barker, Smithfield; Robert and Amy Smith, Hyrum; Kevin Jerry Smith, Roy; and Lee Knight son-in-law, Logan; grandchildren: Heidi Allison Herschi, Logan; Josh and Brooke Herschi, Logan; Arron and Cheyenne Smith, Hyrum; Brittny and Tiffny Knight, Logan; and great granddaughter, Taya Herschi, Logan. The family wishes to thank Brent and Gail Larsen for the kind care they have given Warren over the past two years, until Francis retired. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Smithfield Third-Eleventh Ward Chapel, 179 North 100 East. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
