Wanda Greene Nielson, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2005. She was born June 28, 1915, in Richmond, Utah, the third child of John P. and Effie Allsop Greene. She attended Smithfield schools and North Cache High School. The family moved to Salt Lake in 1933. Wanda graduated from the University of Utah in 1938. She taught elementary schools at Charleston, Utah; Moab, Utah; and Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Enos Wiley Nielson on April 21, 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Lockerby and Eastland in San Juan County, Utah, until 1959, when they moved with their children to Smithfield, Utah. Mrs. Nielson enjoyed many years of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She and her husband served a mission in the California Los Angeles Mission in 1979-1980 and served as officiators in the Logan Temple for several years. She is preceded in by her husband, Enos Wiley Nielson; parents, John P. and Effie A Greene; brother, J. Garth Greene; and two sisters, Erma Greene and Afton Greene Cantwell; and a son-in-law, George L. Walker, Jr. She is survived by her children: Beth Ralph Sorenson, Elaine Merrit Coleman, Ann Thomas Gibbons, Joseph Mark Trisha Nielson, and Barbara Walker, all of Smithfield, Utah. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2005 at the Smithfield North Stake Center, 150 West 400 North. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at
