Walter Lee Dillon passed away at his home on March 30, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was born in Casper, Wyoming on May 4, 1925 to Walter Wesley Dillon and Sarah Fanny Thompson Dillon. At an early age, his family moved to San Bernardino, CA where he later met the love of his life, Mildred Irene Dent. They were married on June 22, 1946. He was a proud veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. After a career at Norton and Hill Air Force Bases, he and Mildred moved to Oceanside, CA for retirement. Mildred passed away on July 10, 1990. Walter later moved back to Utah where he resided in Smithfield. Walter is survived by two children, Janice L. Dillon Haemmig Adrian of Nevada City, CA and Leonard M. Dillon Eunice Smithfield, UT. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his extended step family of two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. At his request, no formal services are planned. Cremation is under the direction Nelson Funeral Home and scattering of ashes at sea will be arranged by The Neptune Society. The family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America.
