Wallace Dean Hunsaker

Honeyville, Utah – Wallace Dean Hunsaker, 85, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home. He was born November 15, 1923 to Wallace Abraham and Amy Burnham Hunsaker in Malad, ID. He was reared and educated in Honeyville and attended Box Elder High School. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Velma Colleen Holman July 3, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was a life-long Honeyville farmer, bus driver for the Box Elder School District and ditch rider for the Bear River Canal Co. He enjoyed hunting, camping, visiting family and friends and walking with his sister, Lois each evening.
Dean was a member of the Honeyville 2nd LDS Ward and served as a ward clerk and home teacher.
Surviving are his wife; two children: Brian Colleen and Alice Hunsaker; three grandchildren: Tiffany Cary DeJarnatt, Lacey Jeff Larsen and Cameron Amy Hunsaker; six great-grandchildren: Braedon, Kennedy, Chris, Tina, Janae and Drayke; three sisters: Helen Holman, Lois Kenny Tinney and Carolyn Bob Smith; and two sisters-in-law: LaVerne and Frances Hunsaker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Kenneth and Lynn; and one sister, Marjorie Elm.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the Honeyville LDS Church, 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville. Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Tuesday from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Honeyville Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
