One of Dad's favorite stories he told while working at Hill Field was when he almost fell out of the belly turret of a B-17 while test firing its machine guns over the Wendover Test Range. After Dad retired from Hill Field he went to work for the Davis County School District driving school bus #72. He retired after driving ten years for the School District. After that, Dad volunteered at several nursing homes and retirement facilities driving the residents to various outings and appointments.
