Virginia Anderson Hansen, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, 95, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008. She was born October 14, 1912 in Toquerville, UT to Martin and Anna Laura Kleinman Anderson. She married Fred William Hansen May 2, 1940 in the St. George LDS Temple. Their marriage was blessed with four daughters: Janiele, Leila, Connie and Beverlee. Virginia was always supportive of her girls. She looked forward to their visits, phone calls and was always there with a listening ear and understanding heart.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding various callings including Relief Society Teacher for over 60 years. She loved cooking, canning, crocheting and quilting. She was happiest in her home surrounded by family. She delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the little children and they loved her back. Virginia was a woman of faith, determination and courage sharing her warmth and charity with everyone. She has left a legacy of love.
Survived by her husband; daughters: Janiele Jesse Cardon, Sandy; Leila Talavera, West Jordan; Connie Paul Cox, Manti; and Beverlee Stephen LeCheminant, West Valley; twelve grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Wood, Cedar City.
She is preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Tremonton 3rd/8th Ward Chapel, 9590 North 6800 West, Tremonton, with Bishop Norman Fukui officiating. Family and friends may call Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Bear River City Cemetery.
