Logan ? Virginia Fackrell Duce, 82, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2002 at the Sunshine Terrace after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born November 16, 1920 in Trenton, Utah to Joseph Everett Fackrell and Edna Virginia Crenshaw. She was raised in Cache Valley, living in Trenton, Hyde Park and Logan. She attended local schools, graduating from North Cache High School. She then continued her education at the Budge Clinic Hospital, becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked for many years at the hospital caring and loving each patient. She married ThomasAlma Duce in Logan on August 3, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Virginia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a current member of the Logan 15th Ward. She has held many callings through the years, including Sunday School teacher, Sunday School secretary, and visiting teacher. She loved children and treated them as if they were her very own. She is survived by one son, Robert LaFaye Duce, Ogden, Utah; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, J E Mary Fackrell, Honolulu, Hawaii and a sister, Margaret Ira Jardine, Clarkston, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2002 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
