Violet Denton Struhs Morgan

Tremonton, UT – Violet Denton Struhs Morgan, 75, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008. She was born August 27, 1932 to Stephen Alford and Alta Gertrude Dougherty Denton in Canwood, Saskatchewan, Canada. She married Wayne Struhs in 1952. She married Jerry Morgan July 6, 1964 in Brigham City, Utah.
Violet was reared and educated in the Marchant Grove area of Saskatchewan, Canada. At 18 she moved to Salt Lake City. In 1964 she moved to Morgan and in 1967 to Tremonton.
She worked along side her husband on their Kelton Ranch. Violet was a "Pink Lady" and "Candy Striper" at the Bear River Valley Hospital. She gave countless service hours to the Bear River Valley Senior Center in distributing commodities, "come rain or shine". She served as an officer in the Tremonton Ladies Civic Club.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; sons: Rodney Sandra Struhs, and Marlin Barbara Struhs; step-children: Darrell Brent Bonnie Tomlinson, Alfred Jerry Carolyn Morgan and Mary Anderson; ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Jerry Denton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 14 siblings, and one grandson, Corey Struhs.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 11:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Family and friends may call Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 20 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Honeyville Cemetery.
The family suggests donations made to the Bear River Valley Senior Center.
