Viola Marble Romriell Ewing Viola died April 24, 2013 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah at the age of 99.
She was born in McCammon, Idaho on January 12, 1914 to John Thomas Romriell
and Almedia Burbank Marble. She was the youngest of five. She married Earl Martell Ewing in June 1932 in Ogden, Utah.
They had three children, Hal, Darlene and Wayne. Mart died in June of 1976, Darlene died
Feburary of 1979 and Hal died in September of 2007. Vi, mother died when she was just 14, her father remarried Inez Simmons and they had two more sons, Jerald and Glen Romriell.
Inez brought with her from her first marriage seven more step children. Viola is survived
by Wayne Diane Ewing, Daughter-in-law, Theo Ewing Hal. Two stepbrothers, Jay Simons,
Frances Simons, One step-sister Inez Petersen, and one half-brother, Glen Romriell. Numerous
Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and Great-Great grandchildren.
Vi lived alone in her own home until April 3, 2013.
Viola wants her L.D.S. ward members to know that she loves each one of them. Thanks to her Home Teachers for their concern and the Yummy Sunday dinners. Thanks to Diane Weeks for always being there when needed, and to the Kevin Heaps family for the care of her beautiful yard. Special thanks to Dr. Faux and the nurses of Sunshine Terrace and Sunshine Hospice.
Funeral services and viewing will be held on Saturday the 27th of April 2013. Viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral will be at 12:00 at the LDS church at 75 South and 100 West in Smithfield. Burial will follow at the Smithfield Cemetery. Under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
