Villy E. Sorensen completed his earthly probation and passed away on March 16, 2004 at his home in Smithfield, surrounded by his family. Villy was born in Denmark on March 28, 1912. He married his sweetheart and lifelong companion, Anna Marie Nielsen, on October 7, 1941. Villy, Anna, and their two sons joined the LDS church in 1948 and immigrated to America in 1957, where their daughter was born. Villy worked at Al?s Sporting Goods for many years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and enjoyed exploring the mountains in Logan Canyon. Villy adored his ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who loved to be at grandma and grandpa?s house, where they felt safe and loved. Villy is survived by Anna, his wife of 63 years, sons: John A. Lois Sorensen, Smithfield; Per Sherri Sorensen, Smithfield; daughter: Lea Paul Rogers, Twin Falls, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
