Vernal ElRoy Munk

Vernal ElRoy Munk, 96, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002 at Terrace Grove in Logan. He was born April 30, 1906 to Andrew George Munk and Mary Christina Jorgensen. He was the youngest and last survivor of a family of six boys and six girls. His wife, Edith Anna Barnett preceded him in death by 10 years. He is survived by a son and two daughters: Clayne E. Munk, Reno, Nevada; Carolyn Edith Williams, Perry, Utah now serving a mission with her husband Clair for the LDS Church in Estonia and Janet Marie Munk, Bountiful, Utah. He has nine grandchildren and thirty great grand children. Vernal was a farmer and lived his entire life in Benson, Utah except for the last year and half he lived at Terrace Grove in Logan. He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the Benson Ward Chapel, 3432 North 3000 West, with a viewing prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friends and family may also call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan.
