Vern Price Allen

Huntsville, Alabama ? Vern Price Allen, 86, passed away on June 7, 2002 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born May 24, 1916 in Cove, Utah to Leo Lowe Allen and Martha Alma Price Allen. During his younger years, his family moved several times, but they returned to Cache Valley and he attended and graduated from the local schools. Vern was a veteran of World War II and retired from the United States Air Force and NASA. He is survived by his wife, M. Irene Hands Allen, and three sons: James Carson, Gordon Vern and Lawrence Allen. Eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive him. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the Richmond City Cemetery.
