Verla White Warren
July 28, 1925 a beautiful little girl was born to Orlan White and Laura Bell Swenson White. She was their first child and came into this world in the beautiful small town of Thayne, Wyoming. She was a big sister to nine siblings, and often cared for them.
It was on the family farm that she met a handsome young man named Elmo Warren. Their love blossomed through correspondence during the second World War. They were married on July 6th 1944. They were married for 64 years before his death in 2007. A highlight of her life was when they served a mission together in Jackson, Mississippi. Their posterity includes, six children, 24 grandchildren. and eighty four great grandchildren.
She was an avid quilt maker. She loved making and giving away her creations. She loved horses, horse racing, music, and singing.
She is survived by her five children, Orvetta Thurston (Myrl). Ivan Warren (Susan), Al Warren (Penny), Willard Warren, Lauralee Sparrow (Dale). Two sisters, Oleta, Phiyllis, and two brothers Leland and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell, three grandsons, Travis Warren, Qwin Warren, Aaron Warren one granddaughter Andrea Warren. Two sisters, Deola Warren, Amy Lou Sellers. and three brothers, Ralph, Alma and Phillip.
The family would like to thank her care givers at Apple Village Assisted Living, Crossland Care Center and Draper Health and Rehab for their loving care at the end of her life.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 25 at the Chapel located at 675 W 200 N Smithfield UT. Services will begin at 10:30 am with a viewing from 9-10. Interment will follow at the Freedom WY Cemetery later that afternoon.
