Vera Luella Johnson Jensen – Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, age 94, passed away on June 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 11, 1917 to Myron Levi and Margaret Luella Terry Johnson. Married Frederick Clarence Jensen on February 24, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized January 6, 1949, in the Manti LDS Temple. She faithfully served in the Relief Society, Primary, and other church organizations. She served along side her husband as a temple worker in the St. George and Jordan River temples. She retired as a secretary from the Granite School District. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and playing cards and bingo. Watching the Utah Jazz and Colorado Rockies were her favorite way to pass time. Survived by daughters Winnie Scott Iverson, St. George and Janine David Ervin, Richmond, Utah; sister, LaRue Stewart, Mt. Pleasant, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Fred her loving husband for 62 years and beloved son, Terry Ray Jensen; two sisters and three brothers. A viewing will be held at McDougal Mortuary – 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, on Friday, June 22, from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the mortuary. Internment will follow at the Fairview City Cemetery, Fairview, Utah.
