Venna E. Pitcher, 85, of Mesa passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born February 2, 1920 in Afton, Wyoming to Archibald and Christina Egbert. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Hal J. Pitcher and daughter, Janae Gabrielli. Venna was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by daughters, Christie Bruce Sims of Mesa, Arizona; Nancy Linschoten of California; Venna Bob McKee of Texas; and Susan Ray Howard of California. She has 16 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren. She spent her life serving others in callings of responsibility of the church. She also enjoyed many years of service as a Temple worker. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 10:30 a.m., followed by services at 1:30 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 N., Logan, Utah. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
