Velda Olson Anderson, 94, passed away, Friday, March 19, 2010 in Logan, Utah. She was born June 18, 1915 to Ezra and Ann Downs Johnson in Richmond, Utah, but was raised by Ira and Aleda Hillyard in Smithfield. She married Rolan Olson April 29, 1931 and was widowed in 1952. She married Rodney L. Anderson May 10, 1955. She has resided in Cache Valley, Salt Lake City, St. George and the last four years, has lived with her daughter, Jeanine in Logan. Velda was a talented pianist all her life and enjoyed sharing her talents. She had a cheerful, positive attitude, which she carried through to the very end. She was always thinking of others. She is survived by her sons: Doyle S. Debbie Olson, Hyrum; Ralph D. Denise Olson, Littleton, CO; her daughters: Cheryl David Maxwell, South Jordan; Jeanine O. Glen Erickson, Logan; and Janet David Wiley, Sandy. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and two sons: Clyn Bartell Olson and Rolan Blaine Olson. Interment will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Millville Cemetery in Millville, Utah. A celebration of her life will be conducted by Bishop Jeff Larsen at the Foothill 2nd Ward, 1450 East 1500 North, Logan following the interment. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
