Ulalla Gibbs Hansen

Tremonton, Utah / St. George, Utah - Ulalla Hansen, age 103, passed away peacefully in St. George on Saturday evening, August 13, 2005. Mrs. Hansen was born March 31, 1902 in Portage, Utah. She was the eldest of nine children to William D. and Zina Gibbs Harris. She was married to Ernest Cornwall on June 1, 1927 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. He died on November 7, 1946. She married Conrad B. Hansen on February 14, 1955. She was a graduate of Box Elder High School and also attended Brigham Young College in Logan, Utah. She taught school for several years in Box Elder County. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She loved to serve others and volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Bear River Valley Hospital. She achieved her life masters in duplicate bridge and was a member of the Skyway Golf and Country Club. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cornwall Henry Mendoza, four grandchildren, Diane Ken Young, Lori Randy Johnson, Kathie Scott Steinert, Mark Jill Mendoza, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Marjorie Ward of Ogden, Evelyn Fuhriman Isaacson of Tremonton, and William R. Marilyn Harris of Shoshone, Idaho. Additional surviving sister-in-laws, Carol Harris and Helen Harris. She has many surviving nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil Harris, O.J. Harris, and Wendell Harris. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Leora Moore, and Mary Harris child. We would like to extend our heart-felt gratitude to all who looked after her well being.
The viewing will be held on Friday, August 19, 2005 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home. An additional viewing to be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center 660 N. 300 East. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
