Uarda Taylor Oman

Yost/Tremonton, UT ? Uarda Taylor Oman, 93, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 with loving family by her side. She was born May 24, 1914 in Yost, UT to Joseph Edward and Olive Tracy Taylor. She married Karl Aldro Oman December 20, 1935 in Burley, ID. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 1949. Karl died July 24, 1991.
Uarda attended school in Yost and graduated from Box Elder High School. She and her husband, Karl, owned and operated ranches in Yost and Kelton, UT. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed handwork. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous positions in all church auxiliaries.
Uarda is survived by her children: Nolin K. Connie, Yost, UT, Carol O. Sherman-deceased Carter, Yuma, AZ, Kaylene Larry Ward, Evanston, WY, Joseph Blaine Luann, Thatcher, UT and Ila Jane Bob Belt, West Weber, UT; 15 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; five great, great-grandchildren; one brother, Boyd Wilma Taylor, Malta, ID and one sister, Lorena Milo-deceased Thompson, Heyburn, ID.
She is preceded in death by her husband, three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, five brothers: Orville, Charles, Gale, Rodney, Dalton and one sister Luana.
A funeral services will be held Monday, December 3, 2007 1:00 p.m. at the Almo, ID LDS Chapel with Bishop Kent Durfee officiating. Friends and family may call from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT and from 11:15 a.m.-12:40 p.m. Monday at the Almo church. Interment at Yost Cemetery.
