Travis Jeffery Peterson

Travis Jeffery Peterson passed away on May 28, 2015 at his home in Mendon Utah. He was born on March 26 1980 in Logan Utah to Jeffery and Lesa Peterson of Smithfield. Travis graduated from Sky View High School 1998. He then served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint in Sacramento California from 1999-2001. He married Angie McBride in the Logan Temple on July 12 2001. His greatest joy Lydia Marie Peterson entered the world on February 11 2005. Travis’ love for firefighting started at a young age and he quickly became a great leader working through ranks in the Smithfield Fire Department and later working for the Weber Fire District Where he held the rank of Shift Captain. Travis retired as an Assistant Chief/Fire Warden for the Cache County Fire Dist. In 2016 after being diagnosed with soft tissue Sarcoma. Travis is preceded in death by his Grandparents, father in law Steven D McBride and cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Smithfield North Stake Center Chapel, 155 West 400 North. There will be a viewing on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to services (both viewings will be at the Church). Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
