Tremonton- Thelma Hess, 96, of Tremonton passed away in her home January 2, 2009. Thelma was born April 11, 1912 in Clifton, Colorado to Hazel and Edgar Dunning.
Thelma lived in Clifton, Co, Englewood, Co, Plymouth, UT, and Tremonton, Utah. She was a Telephone operator. She enjoyed quilting and cooking.
Thelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints where she faithfully served 10 years doing extractions at the Family History Center in Garland, Utah.
She married John W Hess III, in Denver, Colorado in 1930, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on March 10, 1970.
She is survived by her sons, John W Hess IV Lela, of Persia, Iowa, and Edgar D. Hess of North Ogden, Utah, 7 grand children, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. 7 Step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W Hess III.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, at 11:00 am in the Tremonton 1st ward building located at 166 North Tremont Street. There will be a viewing Monday January 5, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East in Tremonton, and Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:40 am at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
