Terrie Lee Cook

Beloved and loving wife, mother, and sister, Terrie Lee Cook , completed her mortal mission on August 3, 2009, when she died suddenly at her home in Logan. Terrie had just recently celebrated her 40th birthday.
Born June 25, 1969, at Logan LDS Hospital to David Drew and Viola Mary Nicholls Cook, she grew up in Garden City, UT where she was a member of the LDS church. She attended school at North Rich Elementary and Middle School and Rich High School in Randolph, UT. Terrie married her sweetheart, Timothy D. Cook, on May 20th 1989 in Garden City Utah. To this union were born four sons, David, Lars, Tim Jr. and Nathan. Her husband and sons were the center of her life. She loved them with all her heart, and they returned that love. At the time of her passing she was working at WalMart, where she worked on night maintenance for the past 2 1/2 years. She transferred to the new South WalMart when it opened. Before that she worked for Parts Plus of Logan as a parts delivery person, While employed by Parts Plus she was hit at a stop light by a drunk driver. This accident caused her excruciating and chronic pain for the last 6 years of her life. She also worked for Hawn's Lounge in Hyrum, on and off for the past ten years. Before her accident, she loved water skiing, 4-wheeling, camping, and jet skiing with her family. These pleasures were denied her the last few years of her life as her pain level prohibited such activities. Her sister Mary remembers her as a late in life baby who brought a lot of joy to her entire family. "When we would go shopping, Terrie would plant herself in the toy section because she knew Dad would buy her something rather than have her get upset in the store. So Dad would give me the car keys and tell me to get her in the car. I guess this is why she always thought I was a mean older sister. When she and Dad would go to town she would ask him to buy candy bars for everyone, but my little dog Tuffy would steal them from her and hide them. Mom loved Christmas and was so excited to have a little girl in the house to make the holiday special for. When Terrie , Mom and I would go to Logan Terrie always insisted on the same thing for lunch. Hamburger, French fries and Coca-Cola. We would try to talk her in to eating anything else but the only sound we would hear from the back seat were hamburger, French fry, coke a cola over and over. Terrie loved animals and always had a cat or dog in her arms when she was little. Mom's best friend bought her an apricot toy poodle because she loved Terrie so much. Mom would do the hair of all her friends and Terrie would always go along and visit with them. They spoiled and fussed over her. Grandfather Cook kept a case of M&M just for Terrie, and she and Dad would go every Sunday to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma Cook. Dad liked to dance with Terrie when she was a baby and her favorite place to sleep was on his chest or under his arm." Terrie is survived by her husband and four sons of Logan, stepdaughters Bethannie and Cherie Rawlings Logan and Tiffany Rawlings Tooele; her sister Mary Oscar Olivas and brother Eugene Iris Cook, all of Garden City, nephews Ryan, Justin, and Brandon, and niece Amanda. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and one uncle with whom she was close Rod Nichols. A viewing will be held Friday evening, August 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, with a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Utah.
