Ted Clair Comish, 50, passed away on March 8, 2013 in Durham, North Carolina surrounded by his family due to complications from pneumonia. Ted was born on June 23, 1962 to Clair and Lydia Hyer Comish, the youngest of five sisters. He was raised in Cove, Utah where he had many fond memories and learned the value of hard work while helping on the farm.
He graduated from Sky View High school and LDS seminary. Ted served a LDS mission to Davenport, Iowa. He attended Ricks College and the University of Utah. While attending college he owned and operated his own business.
He worked for the US Postal service in Salt Lake City and for the past 23 years he was employed with American Airlines as a reservationist in Cary, North Carolina which enabled him to travel extensively. Many expressed how Ted would help them with complicated reservations over the years; He always went the extra mile with to make sure all customers were completely satisfied. Ted was loved by all those he worked with and was a special friend to all. Ted was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Susan. He is survived by his sisters: Sandra Patrick Hoggan, Sharon Tony Federico, Nancy Roger, Margie Rick Meinders, a friend Rickie Wilder, his two cats Samantha and Lily which he adopted from the animal shelter, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 11:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral home in Smithfield, Utah followed by a graveside service at the Franklin cemetery. There will also be a memorial for co-workers and friends in Cary, North Carolina at a later date.
