Susan Jensen Aston, beloved grandmother, mother, wife, and friend, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on August 25, 2006. She passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes while visiting family in Whitefish, Montana. She was born January 11, 1956 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Quincy and Aleen Jensen. Susan was raised in Ammon, Idaho and attended Bonneville High School from which she graduated in 1974. She then attended Ricks College where she received her Associates degree with Honors in nursing. After passing her nursing exam, she began working at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. During her final year at Ricks, she met Craig Aston. They were married on February 18, 1977 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Craig and Susan settled in Logan, Utah where they raised their four children, Robert, April, David, and Scott. Her life was her family. She was a dedicated mother who was so involved in the lives? of her children that she never missed a single musical performance, sporting event, school recognition, etc. She was intimately involved in both scholastic and religious endeavors of her children?s lives including helping her three sons earn the rank of Eagle Scout. While her family and friends were the most important part of her life, she also enjoyed her nursing career of over thirty years. She was loved and appreciated by her patients and coworkers alike. Her friends meant so much to her and she was an enduring friend in return due to her sense of humor and sincerity. Her interests and hobbies included reading, cross-stitching, and being outdoors. She had a special love for the Tetons. Susan was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many different capacities to the fullest. She had a firm testimony of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which was reflected throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Craig; her children: Robert Craig Heather of Surprise, Arizona; April Ann Kendall of Logan, Utah; David Thomas currently serving a mission in San Francisco, California; and Scott James, still at home; two grandchildren, two sisters and her mother, Aleen. She is preceded in death by her father, Quincy Maughan Jensen. A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cache West Stake Center, 125 West 600 North, Logan, Utah with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
