Steven Wallace Parrish

Steven Wallace Parrish passed away May 19, 2004 in the Salt Lake LDS hospital of complications of diabetes. He was born in Logan, Utah, July 10, 1950, a son of Wallace A and Treva Killian Parrish. He attended Logan City Schools and Utah State University. Steve was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, having a strong faith in his Heavenly Father. He served a Latter Day Saint Mission to the Gulf States. Steve enjoyed being of service as an active member of the Cache County Search and Rescue team. He worked for Logan City and Cache County as a 911 dispatcher, where he had a very special love for his friends and coworkers in law enforcement. He called them his other family. He was honored as Utah?s Dispatcher of the Year for 1994-95. Steve was preceded in by his parents, and a nephew, Ryan Longhurst. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Alan K Marcia Parrish, Scott K Lynn Parrish, Jan Ted Campbell, Jean Reed Longhurst, and Joan Tel Boman. He was loved and revered by his siblings, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2004 in the Logan 9th Ward chapel, 125 East 500 North. Friends and family may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Steve will be buried next to his mother and father in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Logan Regional Hospital Dialysis Center, 500 East 1400 North, Logan, Utah 84341.
