Steven David Lasley, 23, completed his earthly mission April 28, 2005 in Indian Springs, Nevada as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born October 27, 1981 to Janet Angie Francom and David Martin Lasley, Steven was a beloved son, brother, favorite uncle and friend. Steven was raised by his parents in the Tremonton valley and was influenced by his association with many friends, parents of friends, coaches, church leaders and family. He was an Eagle Scout and LDS Seminary graduate. He was proud to be part of the graduating class of 2000 at Bear River High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He earned a State 3A Championship in Track. Steven served an LDS mission to Rosario, Argentina. He served in the mission office as the financial secretary and over the course of his mission made life long friends of missionaries and converts alike. His education and work experience varied widely after his mission. He attended college and worked at several occupations as he sought out the path that his life was to take. Along with his ever-changing plans, there were several constants in his life. Among them were his faithfulness to the Gospel, his devotion to his family and friends and the warm smile and sense of humor that endeared him to all. He is survived by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessica and Derek Kopp, Shayna and Nick Wilson; two nieces, Abigail and Sydney Kopp and grandparents, Gordon and JoAnn Lasley. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Wayne and Angie Francom. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to ward mission funds or the Perpetual Education Fund to help others fulfill their missions. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Tremonton, Utah Stake Center, located at 660 North 300 East, Tremonton, Utah.
