Steven Mathew Hawkes

Steven Mathew Hawkes Portage: Steven Mathew Hawkes, 21, died March 18, 2003, in Tremonton, Utah. He was born March 1, 1982, in Layton, Utah, the son of William Edward and Connie Jean Shepherd Hawkes. Steve lived a short time in Salt Lake City but spent most of his life in Portage. He attended Bear River High School in Tremonton. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his parents of Portage, brothers and sisters, Kathy Jed Hanson of Santaquin; Jenifer Nick Dreis, Spring, TX; Andrea Skyler Hawkes of Ogden; Caren Jeremy Simpson of East Carbon, UT; Billie Jason Decker of Montpelier, ID; David, Paul, Jordan, Amber and Kimber Hawkes all of Portage; grandparents, Edith Shepherd of Eureka, MT; Myrl Hawkes, BocaRaton, FL and his 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael; Grandpa Ted Shepherd; Grandma Vesta Hawkes. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at the Portage LDS Ward Chapel, 8910 West 25800 North. Friends may call Friday, March 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Portage Church. Interment will be in the Portage Cemetery.
