Tremonton, UT ? Stephanie Humpherys, 31, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. She was born March 27, 1976 in Logan, Utah to Stan G. and Jean Austin Humpherys.
Stephanie was a normal, beautiful, intelligent, and happy three year old whose life was tragically changed forever when she contracted a rare bacteria which left her severely brain damaged. After a long stay at Primary Children's Hospital fighting for life, she spent the next five years home with her parents and two brothers. She then stayed at Topham's Tiny Tots Care Center in Orem, and later moved to West Jordan Care Center. About six years ago she was transferred to Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City where she was cared for until the time of her passing. She is now free from her handicapped mind and body where she can enjoy the blessings of her Heavenly Father.
Stephanie was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though she was severely handicapped the majority of her life, she had a special spirit about her. She was serene and peaceful, holy and quiet, patient and accepting, and had captured the hearts of many. We feel honored to have known her, loved her and cared for her. The family would like to extend thanks to all those who cared for Stephanie over the years, and express special appreciation to the staff at Pioneer Care Center for their love and devotion. Surviving are her parents, Tremonton; brothers: Boyd Ann, Provo, Alan, Ogden and Kevin Natalie, Logan; grandparents: Thelma Austin, Tremonton and Don Humpherys, Dingle, ID.
Preceding her in death are twin brother and sister: Jonathan and Michelle, and grandparents: Harold Keith Austin and Osma Price Humpherys.
