Deweyville, UT ? Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Stella Ladle Spackman, 90, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Bear River Valley Care Center. She was born to William Charles and Nancy Ellen Hunt Ladle September 30, 1915 in Sugar City, Idaho. Stella moved to Mendon, Utah at age two and lived there until she was married. She married Louis John Spackman September 25, 1936 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived and raised their family on the Spackman Farm in Deweyville, UT.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a primary teacher, Young Woman President, Counselor in Relief Society, 18 years as a Temple Officiator, and a visiting teacher. She loved cooking. Many enjoyed her talent for baking. She enjoyed crocheting, visiting friends and those who were sick or in need. She loved spending time with her family. She loved going to dances. She is fondly remembered by many as ?Starlight?. Stella was a member of the Friendly Circle Club. Surviving are her children; Arlene Earl Saunders, Nibley, Paul Karma Spackman, Deweyville, Shirley Terry Knudsen, Tremonton and Marjene David Draper, American Fork, 21 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren; two brothers, Orvel Lila Ladle, Salt Lake City and Rulon Lorna Ladle, Mendon.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Spackman Olsen, her parents, one sister, Grace Ladle Miles and one brother, Leo Ross Ladle.
Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Deweyville LDS Church, 10750 North Highway 38, Deweyville with Bishop Leslie R. Wheatley officiating. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment at North Ogden Cemetery.
