Fielding - S. Dean Potter, 70, passed away January 23, 2005 at the McKay Dee Medical Center in Ogden after a valiant battle with multiple ailments. Dean was born on May 29, 1934 to Herman and Effie Potter, the second of five children. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Arlene Keith Anderson. Surviving are his brothers, Don Ann and Merrill Virginia and a sister Diane Barry Roche. Dean lived most of his life in Fielding, Utah. Helping on the farm and feeding cattle. He loved showing the purebred Hereford bulls to prospective buyers, and helping with 4-H steers at the stock shows. His last 15 years were spent as a resident of Wide Horizon Care Center in Ogden. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed to Wide Horizon and to D.T.S.I. "His Work" for their care and love for Dean. In fact his last evening at the hospital was filled with visits from family and friends from Wide Horizons and D.T.S.I. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belmont LDS Church, located at 16925 North 5200 West in Riverside, with Bishop Joe Rudd will officiating. A visitation will be held prior to services on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Garland City Cemetery.
