Stanley Jay Pettingill

Stanley Jay Pettingill, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, January 24, 2005 from a prolonged illness. He was born August 31, 1928 in Long Beach, CA to Clifford & Essie Fewkes Pettingill.
Stanley graduated from Jordan High in 1947 and served an honorable mission in the North Central States. He married his sweetheart Lois LaVene Noble on May 4, 1953 in the Logan Temple. Stanley has served faithfully in many church callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In 1990 he retired, and with his loving wife, served a mission in the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Mission. He is survived by his sweetheart of 51 years, Lois LaVene Noble Pettingill; daughter, Vicky Ann Keith Smith, Holladay; son, Dallas Kay Karie Pettingill, Peoria, Il; daughter, Paula Klyn Edmunds, Spring City; son, Stanley Scott Stephanie Pettingill, Smithfield; son, Calvin Blaine Heidi Pettingill, Meridian, Id; 26 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will truly be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel, 179 North 100 East, Smithfield on January 29, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Saturday at the church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services.
