Bear River City, UT – Stanley Duane Jensen, 86, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, July 19, 2008 returning to his Heavenly Father. He was born September 23, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah to Lorenzo Hyde and Esther Dorothy Ipson Jensen. He completed 44 missions proudly as a navigator in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Shortly after returning from WWII he met and married the love of his life, Romaine Elsie Dial October 5, 1945 in Brigham City. Their marriage was solemnized October 11, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died January 18, 2003. Stanley was reared and educated in Bear River City and graduated from Box Elder High School. He also attended Utah State University. He served on the Board of Directors of the Highland Ditch Company. He also served as a Bear River City Trustee.
He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, reading, family activities and loved to watch sports on TV, especially bull riding.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a High Priest Group Leader and home teacher.
Surviving are his children: Sandra Dee Blank, Salt Lake City, Robert Stanley Denice, Jeffery Carlos Diane, Todd Duane Michelle, all of Elwood, Utah; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and six sisters.
Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River LDS Church, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City. Family and friends may call Friday, July 25, 2008 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also Saturday from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Bear River City Cemetery.
