Pedro Velasco Solis Tremonton ? Pedro Velasco Solis, 65, died February 3, 2002, at the McKay Dee Medical Center in Ogden. He was born January 31, 1937, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, the son of Ignacio Ruiz and Georgia Velasco Solis. He moved to the United States at the age of fourteen. He worked various jobs in Texas before moving to Tremonton where he worked for Tremonton City for 35 years. His boss and best friend was Garry Carter. He married Oralia Ayala July 29, 1961, in Tremonton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being a soccer coach and a baseball umpire. He loved to spend time with his family tubing and his trips to Wendover. He is a member of the Santa Ana Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Oralia of Tremonton; children, Rosie Ray Garza; Armando Solis; Esperanza Rey Rodriguez Solis; Juliana Freddy Blandon, all of Tremonton; Jaime Aralia Solis, Garland; Esmeralda Solis, Tremonton; adopted daughter, Petrolina Garcia, Tremonton; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Francisco Lupe Solis, Garland; Ignacio Solis Jr. , Tremonton; sisters, Socorro Sylvestre Jr. Cruz, Garland, Maria Jose Solis, Dallas, TX; Aurora Felix Maldonado, Tremonton; Juanita Andy Cantu, Edinburg, TX; Adela Baldazo, Edinburg, TX; Lupe Pepe Rodriguez, Dallas, TX. Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 8, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Ana Catholic Church, 760 West 600 North, Tremonton. The Rosary will be recited by Father Warren Schoeppe, Thursday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. A viewing will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Epifanio Solis. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
