Sharon Joann Brown Christensen

Born in Pocatello, Idaho, August 18, 1936, Sharon passed away in her sleep February 1, 2007, at her home of 31 years, in Sylmar, CA. Sharon was an accomplished vocal performer, loved to write poetry, and was a voracious reader. She was a Registered Nurse and obtained a Masters Degree in Psychology. Sharon's greatest joy and success was her family. She once wrote, "The smallest unit of heaven is the family. All true happiness...centers upon the family's well being." Sharon was preceded in death by her sons, David and Matthew Christensen, and her parents, Fred Brown and Beverly Norwood. Sharon, who is survived by her beloved husband, Varge Arden Christensen, was to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary on March 1, 2007. Sharon is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Steve Howe; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Susan Christensen and Clark & Amy Christensen; daughter-in-law, Tessie Christensen, and 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sister Carolyn Marshall. Sayre St. Sylmar, CA. A brief graveside service will be held Friday, February 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River Memorial Cemetery.
