Scott Hartley Pehrson

July 1, 1980 — September 22, 2023

Scott Hartley Pehrson passed away peacefully on Friday September 22, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Scott was born July 1, 1980 in Logan, Utah to Connie and Carl Pehrson. Scott was born with a severe seizure condition accompanied by developmental disabilities. He was limited in his ability to communicate, but found creative ways to connect that were much more powerful than words. He loved Sesame Street, animals, cheetos, and books!

Scottie could light up a room with his huge smile and embrace you in a hug that you never wanted to end. He suffered more than most, but was the perfect example of resilience, persistence, simple faith, and love. His biggest love was his family. Scottie’s life was filled with joy and people who loved him. He would light up when friends, neighbors, and relatives would visit. He was adored by his sisters, loved to joke and tease with his brother in-laws, and would insist on hugs and adventures with his nieces and nephews. Most of all he loved being taken care of by his wonderful parents.

Thank you to all those who worked with Scott through the years, including teachers, aides, caregivers, and advocates. We appreciate all you’ve done for him.

He is survived by his father, Carl Pehrson; his sisters, Anna (Nathan) Sisson, Jeanette (Devin) Lucas, Michele (Wayne) Smith; his 12 nieces and nephews, and 2 great nieces.

Scott is preceded in death by his mother Connie Pehrson, his grandparents Edith and Calvin Pehrson, and his Grandpa Lenau Hartley.

Please join us in celebrating his life on Friday, September 29, 2023. A viewing will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am and the funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the Lewiston 3rd Ward building, 16 S Main Street. Scott will be laid to rest next to his mom in Lewiston, Utah.
