Tremonton ?Sandra Allen Tebbs, 70, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Born to Irvin and Alice Wilson Allen September 8, 1935, Sandra was reared and educated in Circleville, Utah. She graduated from Piute High School as an honor student in 1953. She was active in many areas and served as year book editor and cheerleader. She attended BYU and later transferred to Utah State University. Sandra largely worked her own way through college and graduated Cum Laude in 1957. She married James Kyle Tebbs June 15, 1957 in the St. George Temple. They moved immediately to Chicago, Illinois where Kyle continued in dental school and Sandra taught at Argo Community High School in the suburbs. Kyle received his degree in 1960 and they moved to Flandreau, South Dakota, then to San Carlos, Arizona while he worked in the Public Health Service. In 1963 they moved to Tremonton, Utah were five of their six children were born.Sandra served in many positions in the wards and stakes, both here and in Illinois. She was called as Relief Society President three times. She was a NAUI certified scuba diver and swam almost daily for fifteen years until she became ill.She was a free-lance fiber artist and restored antique quilts and clothing. She taught at the summer needle arts convention at BYU several years.Sandra was known for her hobby of collecting and costuming antique porcelain dolls. A highlight of her life was serving a proselyting mission with her husband to South Carolina during 1999-2000. They were also ordinance workers at the Logan Temple.She is survived by her husband, sons: Kass Martin, Draper, UT, Daniel Kyle Julie, Kirkland, WA, James Fielding Gayle, Rancho Palos Verde, CA, Craig Wilson Angela, Las Vegas, NV; daughters: Heather Dennis, St. George, UT, Susan Melisse Matthew Rochester, MN; sisters, Gwen Woody Sandberg, St. George, UT, Jetta Huber, Anchorage, AK, Mauna Keith Proctor, Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Bruce Allen, Corning, IO and nine grandchildren.A funeral will be held Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverview Ward Chapel, 10750 North Highway 38, Deweyville, with Bishop Michael Yates, officiating. Viewings are Friday, April 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday from 8:45-9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial at Panguitch City Cemetery with a graveside service at 6:00 p.m.
