SMITHFIELD – Sally Ann Karren, 62, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Logan Regional Hospital surrounded by family.
She was born February 10, 1951 in Logan, Utah to Max Daniel and Ruth Bair Lundgreen. She married Thomas Garth Karren, Jr. on May 28, 1972. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on March 13, 1976. Sally was an active member of the church and held many callings, most recently as a Cub Scout leader.
She was preceded in death by her father, Max Lundgreen, mother-in-law, Betty Beeton Karren, and father-in-law, Thomas Garth Karren, Sr.
Sally is survived by her husband Tom Karren, mother Ruth Lundgreen, step mother-in-law RaNae Karren, her three sons, Thomas Max Karren Carrie, Corey Jay Karren Terri, and Ryan Lloyd Karren Kim, brother Daniel Max Lundgreen, sister Patricia Lundgreen Zilles Lonnie, brother Allen George Lundgreen Marie, sister-in-laws Linda Karren Auman Brent and Marsha Karren McMackin, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in the Smithfield 2nd Ward Chapel, 6521 North 2400 West, Amalga with Bishop David Hinckson conducting. A viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church Saturday. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
