Ruth Redford Zollinger

September 20, 1913 — November 9, 2006

Ruth Dewsnup Redford Zollinger, 93, passed away November 9, 2006 at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton, Utah. Ruth was born on September 20, 1913 in Hatch, Idaho the sixth of ten children of Robert Lloyd and Phoebe Elizabeth Dewsnup Redford. She was a graduate of Logan High School. Ruth married her sweetheart, Lyman Moroni Zollinger September 2, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. By this union came one daughter and six sons: Robert Lyman Fawnice, Henry Clair Tam, Larry Douglas MarJean, Carole Dawn Smith Darrell, Ronald Redford Eva Kay, Matt Lee Linda and Richard Kim Teri. Lyman and Ruth purchased a farm in Thatcher, Utah where they spent their life in vocational, community and religious activities.
Ruth expressed her creative energy by maintaining a lifetime of love and passion in pursuing documentation of family, religious, and community history and personal diaries. Ruth was an avid gardener spending many hours beautifying her home and yard. Ruth?s belief and faith was evident in every facet of her life.
Surviving is her youngest brother, H. E. D. Redford, six children, 50 grandchildren and 70 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Lyman Moroni Zollinger; her brothers: Harold, Marion, Ross, Seth; her sisters: Vivian, Grace, Edith, Eva; her oldest son, Robert L. Zollinger; and four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Greg, Robert, Ryan. We would like to express our deepest thanks to the staff at the Bear River Valley Care Center for the wonderful care of our Mother. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher-Penrose Ward LDS Chapel, 11475 West 10400, Thatcher. Family and friends may call Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment at the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
