Ruth Marie Jensen Robinette

Ruth Marie Jensen Robinette, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Providence on Thursday, May 22, 2008 Ruth was born the youngest of six children on October 31, 1919 in Logan, Utah to Danish Immigrants, Rasmus and Alma Jensen. She grew up in Thatcher, Utah on the family farm and learned at an early age the value of hard work. She graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Seminary in 1937. Ruth loved to dance and that is where she met her eternal sweetheart, Dee W. Robinette. They were married December 19, 1938 and danced together for the next 69 years. Dee passed away on August 27, 2007. Mother loved working at JC Penney's and retired from there after many years. She truly loved her home and being around her family. Mother was an excellent cook. She loved to bake and was always canning produce form their large garden. Mother enjoyed many Church callings and the people she served and worked with. Together Dee and Ruth raised and are survived by their six children: Jay and Linda Robinette, Henderson, Nevada; Ann and Rod Corry, Salem, Utah; Stuart and Jackie Robinette, Providence, Utah; Janet and Jay Wardle, Hyrum, Utah; Julie and Reed Ernstrom, Providence, Utah; and Steve and Kristie Robinette, Lindon, Utah; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ella Petersen, Tremonton, Utah. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dee, her parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and 1 grandson. Goodbye for now. We love you fieden foudens, our sweet Tulle Ven. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Providence 4th Ward Chapel, 155 North 100 East, Providence, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday evening, May 26, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah. There will also be a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
