Tremonton: Ruth V. Wight Larsen, 90, died October 13, 2004, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born February 21, 1914, in Brigham City, the daughter of Wesley and Sylvia Bott Wight. She graduated from Box Elder High School and attended the University of Utah. She married Cecil James Larsen on September 27, 1933, in Logan, Utah. He died November 7, 1991. The first few years of their marriage were spent in Park Valley. They moved to Tremonton, where they lived the remainder of their lives. She loved books and animals and had a great sense of humor. She would play card games with anyone, any time and everyone loved her cooking. Ruth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School teacher and in the Relief Society. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Turley, Tremonton; Marilyn Rick McKinnon, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Letitia Palmer, Park Valley.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Judy Larsen Tanner; a son, Scott Larsen; two brothers, Ray Wight and Leonard Wight; and two sisters, Marie Nylander and Hattie Gulzinsky. Funeral services will be held, Monday, October 18, 2004, 11 a.m. at the Tremonton LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 9590 North 6800 West, Tremonton. Friends may call Monday, October 18, 2004, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
